Come join the WXT team Saturday 10/12 at 8am for a WXT course preview. We will highlight most of the Bald Pate section. We will also run the beginning part of Rock Hopper. Total mileage will be approx. 14. Meet at the Bald Pate Pleasant Valley lot at 8am. The lot is located 1.2 miles west of Bear Tavern Road. You can also access the lot from Route 29 via Pleasant Valle Rd. The pace will be friendly and we will stop at several points to re-group. Average pace approx. 11 to 12 minutes per mile. Please bring your own nutrition. Hope to see you there!

WXT starts and ends in Washington Crossing Park, NJ near the Visitor Center. The WXT 25K+ & 50K trail races will run the historic trails General George Washington used to lead his troops to victory in the revolutionary war. Come run on these historic trails November 2, 2024.

Course
The 31 mile course is a diverse mix of technical single track, horse trails, country roads and a rocky section at about the halfway point. The course is out and back with just under 3000 feet of climbing.
The Race starts in the Historic Washington Crossing park in Hopewell Township, NJ. Then travels across Church Road into the State side of BaldPate to connect to Pleasant Valley rd. From Pleasant Valley rd and head around the Howell Living Farm via Valley rd to the Dry Run Creek Trail. This is a beautiful short punchy trail that leads you to the Rock Hopper trail and the Aid Station where you cross rt. 518 to access the trail head for Rock Hopper. Rock Hopper is the most technical section of the course.
Entering on Blue crossing the creek and picking up Red heading out to orange, crossing the power lines and turning around at the road and heading back the same way you went in. Once you exit Rock Hopper, cross back over rt. 518 you will head back to Washington Crossing the way you came.
There will be 3 aid stations, Church Road, Start Finish (limited hydration & Honey Stinger Waffles) & Rock Hopper (Full aid with perogies)

25K+ Runners will need to be out of Washington Crossing Park within 3 hours.

50K Cut-offs:
- The cut off to get out of Washington Crossing 10 mile section is 2 & a half hours or 10am
- The cut off to get to Rock Hopper is 4 hours or 11:30am
- The final cut-off point is out of Rock Hopper in total running time 6 hours 15 min. or by 1:45pm
- The Finish Line cut off is 8 hours 30 minutes or 4pm
- Please note the cut-offs will be enforced.
25K+ Runners will need to be out of Washington Crossing Park within 3 hours.

The map shows the start of the 50K and the 25K+. You will run this loop and then run it a second time but only running the first 3 miles of the loop to get over to Church Road and Baldpate. They’ll be an aid station at mile 3, mile 7 and mile 10.
For the 25K+ you will run 3 Miles into Baldpate basically to the lot at the top of the hill turn around and follow the course back taking a direct route to the finish in Washington Crossing.
The first 10 miles takes place in Washington Crossing Park.
